July 4-th, on the interactive stand of ADG Group, architectural projects for 39 neighbourhood centres of the capital which will soon appear in the districts of Moscow were presented to Sergey Sobyanin.

Large-scale project is aimed at solving an important issue: to integrate the city, residents and business. District centres will correspond to the challenges of time which take into account the global city-planning experience and changes in the demands of the local communities. According to the concept of ADG Group, district-forming centres should not only weld together the local communities, but also stimulate the development of the internal infrastructure.

During the visit of the exposition , Sergey Sobyanin paid attention to the original stand of the project and in his speech during the opening of the Forum has mentioned the following: "Large cities become the centres of gravity. Today's Forum is dedicated to the technologies and megaprojects which will define the development of megalopolises. We cannot include a separate yard or park in them, but if we consider a number of such facilities within the megalopolis — it is, surely, a megaproject".

Andrey Kostin, the President — Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC VTB Bank: "We like large projects. It gives us an opportunity to use effectively our qualified human resources. There is a stable demand on the infrastructure of Moscow. As Sergey Sobyanin has already mentioned, if the small project will be multiplied, it becomes a multifaceted megaproject. Exactly such project for creation of neighbourhood centres is implemented by us in cooperation with ADG Group. On the basis of former cinemas, the centres with all necessary elements for the life and rest of district residents".

On the interactive stand of ADG Group, we can see how the neighbourhood centres located between the 3rd ring road and MKAD will look like. Taking into account the number of facilities and the total coverage of 10-million population, the project of neighbourhood centres obtains the status of megaproject for the capital.

"Within the project of new neighbourhood centres, we aim to follow the highest standards of architecture and urban planning and are convinced that modern neighbourhood centres will become new show-places and points of interest for the residents of the peripheral districts of Moscow" — Managing Partner of ADG Group, Grigory Pecherskiy, has told.

According to Olga Zakharova, Managing Director of ADG Group, depending on the territorial location, neighbourhood centres will have a certain set of functions: "Each neighbourhood centre will preserve its unique character and the functions in it will be distributed taking into account the desires of residents and infrastructure of district that is already established.  The share of cultural and educational function, including cinema, will be equal to 30%. In addition to cinemas, markets, coffee-bars, in new centres, an entertainment, educational events, master-classes for people of various ages will take place".

About the project

We reconstruct over 30 soviet movie theatres in densely populated urban areas of Moscow, transforming them into modern neighbourhood centres — the meeting places for business and customers. We aim at creating a comfortable environment with qualitative shopping and leisure opportunities at the doorstep of 10 million Muscovites, living in between of the Third Ring Road and Moscow Ring Road.
